Soundbone Folksong Choir
Soundbone Folksong Choir has opened registration for its winter session. As choirs are not currently meeting in person, the SFC is offering 5 weeks of virtual classes/rehearsals starting Thursday, February 10th. Three of these classes will be given by Director Jean Hewson, with help from Assistant Director Madison Mouland. The other two classes will be hosted by guest instructors Shay Black and Sally Goddard. A special workshop from Paul Wilson of Wren Music will take place at 1:00 PM (Newfoundland Time) on Sunday, February 27th.

Eric West is offering an 8-week online workshop series during which he will be teaching a cross-section of tunes from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Newfoundland. Participants can join either of two groups: (a) Beginner/Intermediate or (b) Intermediate/Advanced. Starts February 6th, 2022.
Like the Bird - The Music of Mrs. Belle Fennelly
Christina Smith is offering an 8-week course on the repertoire of this Southern Shore accordion legend, to follow the release of Christina’s new book Like the Bird – the legacy of Mrs. Belle Fennelly. Participants will study a minimum of 8 of Mrs. Belle's unique Newfoundland dance tunes. Notation and audio provided. Class is open to players of any melody instrument in the key of D. Starts Feb 1st, 2022.
