Soundbone Folksong Choir

The Soundbone Folksong Choir is a St John’s choral group for adults who share a love of the traditional and contemporary folk songs of Newfoundland and Labrador. Directed by well-known traditional singer/musician, Jean Hewson, the choir will operate in ten-week semesters and will include workshop-style sessions that will cover multiple topics including the stylistic elements of traditional singing, storytelling, repertoire and harmony. Each semester culminates with an informal performance to be determined at a later date. Adult singers of all abilities and musical backgrounds are welcome.
